Real mentors — entrepreneurs, executives, celebrities every summer

Most young people spend their time figuring out what they want to do. LEAP gives them the building blocks to success that aren't typically taught in school.

You probably worked hard to get where you are. You built a career, a business, a life. Along the way you may have learned things — about people, money, how to carry yourself, how to find a mentor, how to walk into a room and feel comfortable.

Many times, nobody taught you those things. You had to figure them out the hard way. And it may have taken years.

Now you have an opportunity to give your children a 7-year head start. They are entering a world that is more competitive, more confusing, and moves faster than the one you navigated. The skills that determine success — communication, confidence, goal-setting, networking, financial thinking — are still not taught in school. Not at the best schools. Not anywhere.

LEAP has a proven record of success by bringing some of the world's most innovative and successful speakers to UCLA each summer.

"Many times the kids who get ahead are the ones who know how to communicate, network, and ask for what they want. Often the fastest road to success is by finding great mentors, having a plan, and having the confidence to execute it."

LEAP has a proven track record that shows we can close that gap in a 1-week summer program.

A lifetime of advantage.

Every element of LEAP Week is built around one question: what do successful people know that most young people need to learn?

01
A written life plan
Not a vague idea — a real plan, on paper, with defined goals and a roadmap for the next 5 years. 100% of LEAP students leave with this. Most adults never have one.
02
A mentor network for life
Face-to-face time with 100+ successful professionals. Not panels — real conversations that become real relationships. Some of these connections last decades.
03
Confidence and presence
Communication skills, first impressions, public speaking, emotional intelligence. The intangibles that determine how far talent actually takes you — taught by people who have them.
04
Entrepreneurship fundamentals
Business etiquette, how to pitch, how to find opportunity, how to build something from scratch. Taught by entrepreneurs who've actually done it — not textbooks.
05
Financial literacy
Money management, understanding value, how wealth actually works. The things school skips — taught early enough to actually matter.
06
A global peer network
400 students from 40+ countries. The friendships, partnerships and peer connections formed at LEAP Week are the kind that compound over decades, not summers.

The numbers don't lie.
19 years of proof.

"One of the things we teach students at LEAP is appreciation. Out of 400 students, I would get 400 'I Appreciate' notes. Most say things like 'LEAP changed my life.' And I know that it did. The reason I say 99% is because the other 1% say 'LEAP saved my life.'"

Every question parents ask — answered.

What age is LEAP Week for? +
LEAP Week is for students ages 15–25+, starting from rising 9th graders through college students and recent graduates. All participants are placed in small groups of 8 students matched by age and year in school, so your child is always with peers at exactly the same life stage.
What is included in the $2,595? +
Everything. The full 6-day program, all on-campus lodging, three meals per day, all workshops and sessions, the mentor workshop with 100+ professionals, and LAX shuttle service both ways. There are no add-ons and no hidden fees. Your child just needs spending money for personal items.
Is my child supervised? Is it safe? +
Yes. Students are supervised at all times and are not permitted to leave campus independently. Housing is accessed via a personalized room card. Every small group has a dedicated LEAP alumni coach throughout the entire week. Parent chaperones are welcome to accompany students on the flight — they do not attend the program itself. This is intentional: the independence is part of what makes it work.
My child is shy and doesn't know anyone. Will they be okay? +
Almost every student arrives not knowing a single person. That's not a problem — it's the design. The small group structure means your child is never lost in a crowd. They have 7 peers and a dedicated coach with them from day one. Building confidence in new environments is core to the LEAP curriculum. The students who arrive shyest are often the ones who grow the most. It's consistently what surprises parents most when their child comes home.
My child is coming from outside the US — how does that work? +
LEAP has welcomed students from 40+ countries every year since 2008. International students can arrive one day early at no extra cost — LEAP picks them up at LAX and houses them on campus overnight. A bright green LEAP t-shirt is mailed to your child before departure so they're easy to spot in the terminal. Students handle their own travel visa. Parent chaperones are welcome on the flight.
How is LEAP different from a regular summer program? +
Most summer programs teach academic subjects or extracurricular skills. LEAP teaches what school never covers and what most young people spend their 20s figuring out — how to network, how to communicate with confidence, how to set goals that actually stick, how to manage money, how to find a mentor, how to interview, how to build a life plan. These skills are taught by people who actually have them: successful entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals who give their time specifically to help the next generation. After 19 years and 10,000+ students, the results are consistent. Students leave knowing who they are and what they want. Most programs can't say that.
How quickly do spots fill? When should I enroll? +
LEAP accepts 400 students per year, with a portion of spots reserved for scholarship recipients. The program fills every year. The honest answer is: enroll as soon as you decide it's right for your child. Waiting is the only way to miss it. You can enroll online at leapfoundation.com or call the LEAP team at 877-855-5327. They're happy to answer any remaining questions before you commit.
